Continuing the Company's commitment to investment in the business, we are delighted to announce:
We have relocated our Profiling activity into a newly acquired building adjacent to the site in Middlesbrough. This gives us almost double the operating space and the ability to handle Plates up to 25T. Within the Building we have separated our 2 Plasma machines (now 19mx3m and 13mx3m). We have added a new Gas Profiling machine, 6 heads with a large operating table (23.8mx5m), this enables us to offer a much improved cut quality, thickness capability and capacity.
A new CMA Plate drilling machine has also been installed to work in tandem with our Voortman. With powerful servo driven motors, this will increase drilling speeds, drill bigger holes in thicker plates, and will be able to operate with the latest carbide tipped drillbits.
A new Kaltenbach Bandsaw has been installed in the old Profile Shop, this provides us with a capability to process the full range of sections and complements the Saw and Drill line and production Bandsaw.
A new Plate Bay has been established complete with magnet handling to feed the larger Profile Shop and provide a comprehensive range of Plates for sale from Stock. A 14T forklift gives us extra flexibility in handling bespoke sizes of Plate either for processing or specific projects. We now carry an enhanced range of Plates that includes S355K2 with DNV cerification.
